"I am not duty-bound to resolve the difficulties I create. May my ideas always be somewhat disjunct, or even appear to contradict one another, if only they are ideas in which readers will find material that stirs them to think for themselves".

Madness matters

Today I lost a friend; I lost her to this society's misunderstandings. Until we have a decent mental illness policy in this world more people will be gone. We are not ill, or mad, or troubled. We just see the world in different ways. Some of us more painfully than others, some magically, some beautifully. This society needs to see people with mental "illness" as something other than ill, they have to see us as an alternative, as capable of seeing the world in different ways, I lost a friend who felt too much, who saw too much, I don't want to lose anyone else or myself. Policy regarding mental "illness" and women needs to change!!! NOW
